back from the wedding

I survived the trip with lots of nebulizer treatments for my asthma.   Most importantly the wedding was great! Happy Bride and Groom! 

I'm back

The other morning my husband and I went to the Tacoma Mall to try to find a replacement dress for my son's wedding.  It took several hours a three stores but we found a dress for the wedding plus an extra dress for me!  It was nice spending the morning together and we definately got some exercise walking around the mall.  Afterwards we went out to lunch before I had to head to work.
John's new antidepressant is working wonderfully.  Hopefully he won't need any more medication changes anytime soon.  We're adjusting to being empty nesters, learning to cook smaller amounts (except for soups), and the pugs are keeping us busy.  We're still working in the Seattle Temple and this Sunday I start teaching the four year olds in Primary at church.
Our grandson, Mikey, turns 1 on valentine's day.  I am really looking forward to seeing him when we go down for the wedding.  He has started walking.  We are going to be able to have a four generation picture taken since my Dad will be at the wedding.  That brings back memories of when we did a four generation picture with my kids and my grandfather twentyone years ago.

starting to talk

John was in a car accident last week, no one was hurt thank goodness.  But I've started trying to talk to him about how maybe he should think about not driving.  The idea's not going over very well.  I might have to talk to his psychiatrist about it.  I also need to talk to his son and see how his driving was on the trip they took was.  Has anyone had any experience in this sort of matter, have any tips for me?

I'm back

sorry it's taken me so long to reply to you ladies.  I went to Florida to visit two of my kids, their spouses, and my grandson.  I'm trying to figure out where I found the link to the centus.  I'm assuming it has to do with the blog hop???  wish me luck!

there is a good article in it about caregivers. granted it is from an adult child's perspective, but it gives some good resources.  It sort of applies to me since my husband is 19 years older than I am.  If you have a chance, check it out.
